Outside Interests Committee (OIC) Procedures
In accordance with University COI policy and federal regulations, the Outside Interests Committee of Case Western Reserve University has developed Procedures related to outside financial interests and conflicts of interest. The OIC Procedures may be amended from time to time, as the need arises.
The Outside Interests Committee
The Case Outside Interests Committee is the body which reviews outside financial interests reported by University members, as well as institutional financial interests where there could be the perception of conflict of interest. The OIC develops conflict of interest management plans, as needed, and provides education to the University community regarding outside financial interests and conflict of interest. The OIC works with the President and appropriate University governing bodies to develop conflict of interest policy and procedures, and coordinates these policies and procedures with those of affiliate/partner hospitals. For more information on the Outside Interests Committee, see: Outside Interests Committee Page
For more on the Case COI policy which provides the general framework for outside interests reporting and review, as well as conflict of interest management at Case, see the “Case Policies on Individual Conflicts of Interest and Institutional Conflicts of Interest” which can be found out:
