Research Interest:
Our general research interest is to understand how cell signaling mechanisms regulate hematopoietic stem cell function. The ultimate goal of our research is to develop mechanism-based novel therapeutics for blood malignancies. We are currently focusing on the role of protein phosphatases, in particular, SHP-2 and SHP-1 in normal hematopoietic cell development and in leukemogenesis.
