Daniel Pendergast

Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives
 

Daniel joined the Technology Transfer Office in 2003. Since that time he has held both administrative and licensing roles, culminating in his current function. In his operations role, Daniel is responsible for overseeing the TTO's administrative functions including the office's finances, federal government compliance issues, patent docket and the management of its database. He is also tasked with executing strategic initiatives which capitalize on CWRU's research strengths and industrial relationships.

Daniel maintains a licensing manager function for medical device and software-based inventions developed across the University.

Daniel is currently pursing an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management and holds a B.S.E. and M.S.E in Electrical Engineering, both from CWRU. His research focus during his engineering graduate career was in mechatronics and autonomous robotics, and he served on the design team for CWRU's entry to the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. He is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers and the Licensing Executives Society.
