CWRU has made an investment in the University of Cincinnati's Drug Discovery Center which will allow CWRU and UH faculty members to access all High Throughput Screening resources at UC. In select cases, these resouces can be partially or entirely subsidized. Resources at UC include:
•   Biochemical or cell based assays
    • using 350,000 pharma-quality, drug-like compound library
•   Virtual (in silico) screen
    • using >4M commercially available comounds
•Computational Biology/Chemistry
•Assay Development
More information may be found here.
To apply for the HTS program, faculty will first participate in an introductory videoconference with Michael Haag, Executive Director of the HTS Program, and the UC team to present a potential HTS project to the group. Feedback will be provided as to which services are applicable and available, and directions on how to proceed with the prject will be given. Based on these discussions, faculty will have a chance to submit a proposal for funding of the project, which will be reviewed by the CWRU HTS committee at a later date.
